The Prime Time to Visit Campus
The Prime Time to Visit Campus As a high school junior, college visits can become overwhelming. Finding the time to travel to a university and schedule a tour isnt always easy. Simply deciding when to visit a campus can make a huge impact on your first impression of the school. So, when is the best time to visit a college campus? Many high school students choose to visit college towns in the summer simply because school is out. Personally, I wouldnt recommend going that route. There is truly something magical about watching college students hustle and bustle around campus, navigating from class to class, paving their own way. Rather, I would recommend visiting in the fall or even spring. With classes in full swing and (hopefully) beautiful walking weather, Champaign is simply breathtaking when the leaves begin to change colors. Plus, all of the favorite campustown businesses are open! Id also recommend scheduling a formal tour of campus, as well as taking the time to walk around on your own. Guided tours are an excellent way to acquire facts and ask questions, while walking on your own offers a moment to picture yourself, two years down the road, attending class and finding yourself. They say when you know, you know, and I do believe thats true. Schedule a campus tour to see if the University of Illinois is the right fit for you! Rachel Class of 2020 I am studying Middle Grades Education with concentrations in Social Sciences and Literacy in the College of Education. Although I now reside in Champaign, I am originally from Vernon Hills, a Northwest suburb of Chicago.
